Kata Hay Pairs With Daisy Rock Guitars For International Youtube Contest

Knoxville, TN, October 15, 2009 - - Oklahoma raised Singer/Songwriter Kata Hay of Kata and The Blaze (Who also performs with the Grassabillies) has paired with Daisy Rock Guitars, Lakota Leathers and Elixir Strings to launch a new youtube contest. The entrants will cover one of Kata's original songs. The winner chosen by Kata herself receives a special Daisy Rock acoustic guitar and an prize pack containing Elixir Strings, special edition Lakota Leathers hand made Bison guitar strap, and an assortment of Kata and The Blaze cd's and goodies.

Kata who has enjoyed a recent boom on youtube said, "I wanted to find a way to say thanks to all the fans who've supported my music through youtube. What a better way than to give away a free guitar?!" The contest is open to international entries and already people have entered from Germany, Australia, Netherlands, UK, and the Phillipines as well as the US. While Daisy Rock is known as the company who makes "Girl Guitars", the contest is open to guys as well and in fact a couple have already submitted entries. There has been a flurry of activity surrounding Kata lately. In addition to signing endorsement agreements with Daisy Rock guitars, Elixir Strings, and Lakota Leathers she had a song in the film "Coyote County Loser" and her band was asked to be the product image for Alpine Products new line of CD protective sleeves. Kata and The Blaze recently had a showcase at the historic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN where they played to a packed house with people outside watching through the windows and are scheduled to headline the Billy Block Show live from the world famous "12th & Porter" on November 3rd.
