Daisy Rock Proudly Welcomes Chantal Claret Of Morningwood To The Artist Roster!
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl-guitar company proudly welcomes Chantal Claret--the daringly ingenuous front-woman of pop-rock band Morningwood--to their artist roster. Often compared to Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry and Shirley Manson, Chantal is a seasoned artist whose band has been shocking those in the music industry and taking it by storm since 2001. Claret was introduced to Daisy Rock at the gifting suite for the American Music Awards.Chantal describes her reaction as a Wayne's World moment, upon seeing the guitar."She will be mine!" she stated. After meeting Claret and seeing her enthusiasm for the guitar, she was invited by President and Founder of Daisy Rock, Tish Ciravolo, to come into the showroom, check out the entire line, and meet the rest of the team.Claret visited the offices with her husband, Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence, on December 7, 2009. "I love your guitars!" Chantal said in her introduction to Tish. "I love your album!" Ciravolo said in response. Native to New York, Morningwood was conceived in true Manhattan fashion, at a cocktail party. Since conception nearly 10 years ago, the band has had numerous appearances on late-night television. They have appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman as musical guests, three times. In 2008, the song "New York Girls" was used in the popular Sex and the City movie, but the band is also no stranger to the small screen. "Best of Me" was used as the theme song for the VH1 reality show Daisy of Love, with songs also in Mercury car commercials and Payless Shoes television spots. They have worked with acclaimed producer, Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Echo & the Bunnymen), and have toured with the likes of Head Automatica, Gang of Four, Kasabian, and The Sounds. Claret is famous for commanding audience members to take off their clothes, typically when the song "Take Off Your Clothes" is performed. Chantal hung around the office and showroom and checked out several different models, but still had her heart set on original guitar she saw at the AMA suite.The Stardust Retro-H De-Luxe in White Lightning was now hers!
