Summer Solstice Party is presented as part of the 2010 Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival at the Eureka Theater, 215 Jackson Street, San Francisco, walking distance to the Embarcadero. The festival, presented by Tomorrow! Productions, presents some of San Francisco's top entertainers from May 27-June 27, including Russ Lorenson, Tom Orr, Carly Ozard, Maureen McVerry, Lua Hadar with TWIST, and others.

Multi-lingual and multi-talented, LUA HADAR has performed as a singer and actor since her New York childhood. Graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Theatre Performance, Lua then attended the celebrated Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and The Dalcroze School of Music, also studying with Metropolitan Opera coach, Joan Dornemann. She is now based in San Francisco, where she performs and tours with her band, TWIST, singing jazz spiced with pop, funk, Latin and international cabaret. She is an entertainer that brings joy and laughter to audiences, no matter what language they speak. On June 20, she takes the stage at the Eureka Theater following her spring performances at New York’s Cornelia Street Café, a concert tour in France and an appearance at the Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill in Los Angeles.

Instantly accessible and truly exotic, this Broadway-influenced performer has been molded by exchange experiences in places as diverse as Bali, Russia, Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, France and Italy, where she performed on tour for five years. Her fascination with world cultures is reflected in the sophisticated song choices for TWIST, in the development of their signature “jazz without borders.”

A unique and original vocalist with a soaring range, Lua interprets lyrics in several languages with a charming, swinging delivery. Michael Arens of Jazz Germany says “...She makes the other side of the world seem a stone's throw away.” Her Paris debut in July 2009 came on the heels of the successful New York release of her latest CD, Lua Hadar with TWIST, at Broadway’s famed Iridium Jazz Club (“…stunning…sheer beauty… she rocked!” – Cabaret Scenes, NYC) and her band’s international debut at the Bangkok International Festival of Dance & Music. Her CD has garnered raves from around the world, (“…vivacious brand of jazz…inspired…swinging…cool” - Luna Kafé, Sweden; “…seductive… polished vocal phrasing… irresistible” - Blast Radio 1386, UK) plus Radio Top 10 Ratings in the USA.
