Knoxville, TN, Oct. 29th, 2010 - - 23 year old East Tennessean Kata Hay has made it into the top 25 finalists in the "Shake Weight Jingle" contest. The winner will receive $25,000 and their "jingle" will be used in an upcoming "Shake Weight" commercial.

You've seen the commercials, you've probably watched the "Saturday Night Live" skit. The Shake Weight has been featured on Ellen, The View, and in Glamour magazine. Practically over night it has became a internet/tv sensation. Shake Weight makes the promise "Triple back your money if your arms aren't on fire after just 6 minutes a day". The only thing their missing? A catchy jingle. So, Shake Weight decided to hold a YOUTUBE contest to see who could come up with the best minute long video jingle. People all across America entered, but only 25 contestants were chosen by the company for YOU to make the decision on who should receive the top prize of $25,000, and have their jingle featured in an upcoming advertisement campaign. The ten runner ups will receive a brand new Apple iPad.

Kata Hay, of the Bluegrass/Rockabilly trio "The Grassabillies" decided to enter. "I guess I've gone kind of contest crazy as of late", said Hay. Kata recently won the honor of co-writing a song with Youtube phenomenon Kina Grannis, and won a brand new Xacti Underwater HD Video Camera by singing Lisa Lavie's hit "Angel". "I entered the Kina Grannis, and Lisa Lavie contests because both women are a huge part of the reason why I started making Youtube video's to begin with". Kata now has over 11,000 subscribers, and 1.5 million views on the popular video site. "So naturally, when I heard about the opportunity to win "$25,000" I was in. This money could help me get the editing and recording equipment I need to further my career".

Already thousands of people have voted in the popular contest, but Kata needs YOUR help to make her dream become a reality. If you would like to help her win, all you have to do is visit www.shakeweightjingle.com and scroll down to Kata Hay's video jingle (Three rows down on the left) and click VOTE. You may vote one time every 24 hours per each computer. Hay said in recent VLOG about the contest, "If you have 3 laptops, vote on all of them. If you are at the library, sign on to ALL the computers to VOTE!".

You can check out Hay's jingle along with her original music and covers on her youtube channel at www.youtube.com/kataandtheblaze. More info about Hay and her music is available at www.katahay.com and www.grassabillies.com.
