Pop Artist "Future Plan" Debuts New EP "Dear Son"

The artist, who hails from China and is the top artist on the pop/rock ReverbNation chart in Shanghai, and holds the number 2 spot in China, is receiving accolades for his new project, which is available from iTunes and Amazon.com. The EP includes 4 tracks. Fabio Piazzalunga, the leader of Future Plan, began playing jazz guitar in the 80's and formed a band called 1984, which focused on original songwriting with a minimal list of covers. At the time, the equipment he was using to record included a 4-track Fostex cassette recorder, the legendary Atari, the very first version of Cubase, a Korg M1, and a Squire Stratocaster. Disillusioned by the complexities of the process, he stopped recording and didn’t began again for several years when he visited a music shop in Tokyo and learned about digital recording. With his passion intensely reignited, he found a small studio in Shanghai and began recording again, also dedicating time to become proficient at producing and arranging. His efforts led to a record deal with Red Robot Records for the release of “Dear Son”. Fabio commented, “Dear Son” is a culmination of the best tracks I had available after reviewing feedback that I received on Soundcloud. The EP’s title and the track “Dear Son” is a loving tribute from a father to his sons, and I wrote it for my children. The ballad describes my feelings as a father who lives far away from his 3 boys, but longs to be closer to them.” Critiquing the album, MusicDish reviewers said, “Future Plan’s new EP “Dear Son” is a great debut, clearly showing the band’s talent and promise. Soft steel guitar and piano, along with nice use of strings beautiful chords are found in the lead and title track, “Dear Son.” “Not Regretting” has a classic Beatles style approach to the vocal performance in a deeply moving song that conveys advice about living. The guitar is nice, without stepping on the vocals. The third and strongest cut on the album, “Wonderful” demonstrates Future Plan’s ability to create several different rock styles. The track has a solid drum track, and the vocals are successful in catching listeners ears with unexpected octave changes on the hook, which has nice harmonies, like the best of the 60's but with more up to date concepts. The bass is solid, and locks in with the beat nicely, while the guitar shines with a nice chorus effect. The keys on the end are clever and effective. On “Everybody Dreams Alone”, the atmosphere, and sound effects take another generational leap in the musical style with more contemporary, and minimal with electronic rhythmic sounds. The drums catch the pulsing, and shaker sounds. The song builds with distorted double guitars. This song is an evolution from beginning to end. Future Plan is a master of multiple styles, and they fully capitalize on their wide range of possibilities to make a very impressive first showing.” “Dear Son” is available for purchase at iTunes and Amazon.com.
