Centennial Pediatrics Foundation Hosting "Beat the Odds" Gala to Raise Funds for the Children's Health Fund
Join Centennial Pediatrics Foundation for the first annual "Beat the Odds" gala on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at the Hillwood Country Club in Nashville. With the mission "to foster access to preventative healthcare and advancing evidence-based prevention and education for the optimal health of children in Middle Tennessee", the gala aims to help raise awareness of the need to improve the health of children in Tennessee, with proceeds from this fundraising event going to support the development of the Children's Health Fund.
Featuring News Channel 5 anchor Rhori Johnston as the evening's host, guest speaker Tim Corbin, Vanderbilt Baseball Head Coach, and including an appearance from 2 Steel Girls (The Voice), guests will also enjoy live music, a magician, food and a silent auction.

With 13% of children having no health insurance (Kaiser Foundation), the Children's Health Fund will provide temporary financial assistance to families with uninsured children access preventative health care. "With our state ranking 26th in the percent of children who are insured, whose health insurance is adequate to meet a child's health needs, there is so much room for improvement," shares CEO Eddie Hamilton, M.D. "The Children's Health Fund with assist families who do not have adequate coverage to meet their child's health needs."
