Shazam Conner Of R&B Group H-Town Prepares To Release An Album Dedicated To His Late Brother Dino

Jackson? Their Hit Single Knockin' Da Boots changed the face of R&B in the early 90's and holds its notoriety to this day! In addition to their success is several movie soundtracks, including Martin Lawrence's box office hit, "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate". With all this accomplished, H-Town charted and sold more records than any other artists never signed to a major label. On January 28, 2003 Shazam Conner’s life changed forever. His twin brother Keven “Dino” Conner was killed in a car accident right before the release of the group’s fourth album. Keven’s death devastated the Conner family and loyal H-Town supporters. Nevertheless, Shazam kept the H-Town legacy alive and continued to perform with the band’s third member G.I., never adding a replacement for his brother to the group. No one could have matched the natural endowments of Dino. Before Dino’s untimely death, he and Shazam worked closely together creating and arranging all genres of music never heard by the masses. His new solo album series "40 Shades of Me" is dedicated to the legacy of Dino and the vision he had for his career. Conner leads the album series with a rocking remake of one of his brother’s favorite H-Town songs, "Don't Hold Back The Rain”. His solo version, "The Rain Is Fall’n" preserves the track’s soulful flavor but his displays his versatility and ability to cross over into other markets. Shazam Conner has something on this new album for everyone from country, pop, rock, zydeco and of course R&B. He will be traveling throughout the country and abroad promoting his new solo project. Prior to the official release of the record, he will drop a complimentary mixtape to give his new fans a taste of what his project will bring. There will be several interactive contests and promotion campaigns throughout his “40 Shades of Me Tour.”© The first contest will launch on October 1, 2012. The single “The Rain Is Fall’N” metaphorically explains the terms raining cats and dogs and fighting like cats and dogs correlating them with a bad relationship. Shazam is tired of the constant arguing and fighting; so he’s fed up and is ready to go. There is an insert with his lady pleading for him to stay through it all. The contest will position the opportunity for another lucky woman to replace the leading lady and convince him to stay with her instead!
