Sportn’ Life Records Celebrates its 10th Anniversary on Stage
Seattle’s Longest Operating Independent Hip Hop/Soul/R&B Label Kicks Off its Second Decade with a Full Roster Show

SEATTLE, WA – OCT. 29, 2012 – Sportn’ Life Records announced today that it will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a show that includes the label’s entire roster of talent on stage. The 2D kickoff will be held on November 21, at Barboza Night Club, 925 E Pike St.
The celebration will highlight every artist currently represented by Sportn’ Life Records. This impressive roster includes Fatal Lucciauno, Spac3man, Marissa, Fly Moon Royalty and Larry Hawkins & Davey Jones. D.Black, now Nissim, will be making his comeback-after-retirement performance. Each artist exemplifies a unique sound and an unparalleled stage performance.
“We’re excited to have the entire Sportn’ Life family together for the 10-year anniversary celebration, all in one place at one time,” said DeVon Manier, President and Co-Founder, Sportn’ Life Records. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a group over the years and look forward to continuing to grow the company with the consulting and management division, and more,” Manier said.

Company highlights:

11 full length projects and 57 singles released 2002-2012
Released first single on vinyl in 2002: D.Black “You need a Thug” & Last Men Standing “We Are”. Both songs were produced and recorded by Seattle’s legendary Vitamin D.
Hosted label showcases at Bumbershoot Festival and the Capitol Hill Block Party.
Performed national festivals such as SXSW in Austin, TX and CMJ, in NYC.
Shared the stage with some of the industry’s top names, including Nas, Ice Cube, Wu Tang Clan, Mos Def, Big Boi, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Girl Talk, Allen Stone and more.
Garnered a national distribution deal with Burnside Distribution in 2008.
Music licensed to MTV, ESPN Action Sports, Under Armor and a few independent films.
