Senator Ron Wyden And Tim Westergren Of Pandora Added To Future Of Music Summit Lineup

Future of Music Coalition (FMC), has announced that Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) will serve as the keynote speaker at its much anticipated Future of Music Summit next Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Senator Wyden has been involved in several technology-based debates in the U.S. Senate, including those surrounding the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT IP Act (PIPA). He is currently sponsoring the Internet Radio Fairness Act, which aims to change the rate standard for internet radio.
Additionally, FMC announced that the Summit will feature a discussion with Pandora founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren in place of the formerly scheduled conversation with Pandora CEO Joe Kennedy. Greg Kot, music writer for the Chicago Tribune will serve as interviewer.
These two new additions to the Future of Music Summit lineup come straight from the front lines of one of the music community's most current and hotly contested debates.
