Decker Goes Global In 2013 With "Slider"
LOS ANGELES -- Southwest Americana singer and songwriter Brandon Decker has announced a release date and worldwide distribution deal for his fourth album "Slider" which is due this February. The long anticipated project is the fourth effort from the group decker, and marks a newer, more complex sound for the band, think Beck’s Sea Change meets The White Stripes meets The Arcade Fire. Decker crafts songs which find profundity in their naked sincerity. Not quite rock, not quite folk, the acoustic-based psychedelic Americana balladry draws upon a variety of influences; from Leonard Cohen to Tom Waits, from Cat Power to PJ Harvey. Yet in the end, his music is unique and uniquely him, and that is the offering. "Slider" features longtime vets of the group such Kelly Cole (who performed on the first three releases; Broken Belts, Broken Bones, Long As The Night, and Long Days) as well as Bryan Vazquez, Sam Cavanuagh, Philip Robbins, and Dan Allmond. The group plans to tour the western United States in support of the album following the release. "All of us are so incredibly proud and excited for the release of "Slider" said Decker. "Of vast significance, this album got finished on the heals of our almost tragic accident, and the completion of it is this tangible accompaniment to the courage in recovery that Kelly has shown. Of any record, this one has the most meaning to us." With the announcement of the new album, Decker has also cut a global multimedia deal with DSN Music, who will distribute "Slider" worldwide via online and mobile stores, as well as provide content from the release to the film and television industry. "Musically and artistically, it is the most developed and authentic album and we couldn't be more eager for people to hear it and have an experience" Decker stated. "That said, the team that is assembling around us, principle among it our new partnership with DSN, is wonderful and we're elated and hopeful for what the future holds." Decker's act has begun to emerge on America's radar, and were recently featured on CNN, after a performance at the 2012 South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. "Slider" is scheduled for a worldwide release via DSN on Tuesday February 26th, and will be available via online and mobile stores such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Spotify, Google Music, eMusic, Rdio, Muve Music and hundreds more.
