EMusic App For Android Available On Three New Platforms In Addition To Google Play Online Store

eMusic announced a trio of new strategic partnerships that make the eMusic app for Android available on Barnes & Noble's NOOK, ASUS, and Toshiba platforms and tablets, offering users access to eMusic's catalog of more than 17 million songs, an advanced online music player, and one of the most personalized music discovery experiences available.

* Barnes & Noble has added the eMusic app to the NOOK Store, making it available to owners of NOOK HD, NOOK HD+, NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color devices.
* ASUS now prominently features eMusic in the ASUS @vibe+ content platform, which will be shipping preinstalled on forthcoming tablet devices.
* Toshiba will make the app available on Toshiba App Place and will pre-load it onto new tablets.

"We're excited to have eMusic's music discovery technologies on NOOK," said Claudia Romanini, Vice President of NOOK Apps. "We are constantly striving to bring NOOK customers the best new apps available and we believe they will enjoy finding new artists using this innovative application."

The eMusic tablet app scales to fit all tablet sizes and includes features that are part of the core eMusic discovery experience, including curated radio stations, recommendations, editorial features and reviews. Users can also rediscover music they already own by creating music mixes from their own collection. The app makes downloading music easy and is compatible with most Android devices. It is available as a free download in the Google Play online store and NOOK store.

"eMusic is committed to supporting open platforms that allow consumers to select from where they discover, purchase, store, and access music," said eMusic CEO Adam Klein. "Expanding our reach through partnerships with ASUS, Barnes & Noble and Toshiba is a big step toward broadening our audience and also fulfilling our mission to provide everyone with the most personalized music discovery experience available."
