New York Singer-Songwriter Lachi Releases Jazz-Infused Rock Version Of “Santa Baby”

Right before Santa drops in, Lachi releases her jazzy rock cover of “Santa Baby” and hosts it for free download over on Amazon. With a lot of holiday tunes unable to break away from that old-timey holiday feel, Lachi puts forth and up-to-day punk rock yet timeless jazzy finish on the track, at times slightly changing lyrics (ie 2012 Convertible), in order to encompass the atmosphere of today. “Girls are a lot more Katy and Avril and less Eartha these days, so I wanted to show the tune in that light.”
Being a prolific writer of all aspects, Lachi continues to remain abuzz in the music scene, constantly pushing forth new stellar musical content, video clips, and writing. She and her band have toured the country, opening for major acts and appearing in national television and publications spreading her message of standing up for ones-self, staying true and grounded, and leading with love. Her latest album project “Make Some Noise” is set to release in early 2013.
