Arlon Bennett CD Release Party Saturday, Jan 19th, 2013 At Society Cafe With Full Band!
Award winning singer/songwriter Arlon Bennett will celebrate the forthcoming release of his new CD, World of Possibility, with a special CD release concert at the Society Café, performing with full band! Joining Arlon will be John Sonntag on guitar, Gordon Roehrer on bass, Arthur Miller on percussion and Ansel Matthews & Maureen Fichter on harmony vocals.
Special guests The Levins will open the show.
Arlon Bennett is a storyteller who delivers timeless vignettes and melodies in his own style that recalls Harry Chapin and vintage James Taylor. Arlon was twice selected by Noel ‘Paul’ Stookey to perform in his Music2Life showcase at the Kerrville Folk festival, featuring America's best songs of social consciousness. His song, “Be the Change” from Summer’s Voice, has garnered top national airplay on folk radio and the New York Mets chose that CD’s title track to be featured in a tribute video to Hall of Fame sportscaster Bob Murphy before a packed house at Shea Stadium.
"Filled with universal truths, World of Possibility is a joy to listen to...It's definitely Arlon’s best effort to date.”- Richard Cuccaro, editor - Acoustic Live! in NYC -
"Arlon's songs ring true, whether he's writing about the personal or the political. The result is inspiring." - John Platt WFUV 90.7 FM New York -
