Nashville Session Singer Trae Edwards Steps Into The Spotlight With Debut Album
Nashville session singer Trae Edwards is stepping into the spotlight with his debut album, “I Believed.” The independently released album, produced by Edwards and George Hairr, is available now wherever music is sold, including digital outlets such as iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.com. Blending contemporary Country with light Rock and Southern Gospel, Edwards’ 11-song debut has garnered early praise from GotCountryOnline.com, and by industry insiders such as legendary agent/manager Buck Williams, CAA’s Blake McDaniel and songwriter Jeremy Dean. "Look out for Trae," said Joe Bonsall of The Oak Ridge Boys. "I love his new song 'Killing Myself To Stay Alive.' It is very well written and very relevant and besides that the boy's a great singer!" Edwards starting singing at the age of 5 at a PTA meeting in Oxford, Alabama, when his mother lifted him up on a table and handed him a fake microphone. Before long, he was performing in church and at school, eventually earning a vocal scholarship to Jacksonville State University. After winning the Male Vocalist Competition in the Charlie Daniels Country Talent Round-Up, Edwards settled in Nashville where he has had a successful 20-year career as a session singer, and also as a sought-after photographer and graphic artist. He has shared the stage with such country greats as Alison Krauss, Naomi Judd, Wynonna, Trace Adkins, Joe Diffee, Tracey Lawrence and many others.
