Uni Music League Presents Showcase Round 1: Tuesday 22 January @Proud Galleries
Last minute preparations have begun, the first event is coming! UNI Music League has been working hard behind the scenes to bring you the best student musicians around. Endless applications were sent in and the final 32 have been selected to compete in a series of live concerts held in the capital. UNI Music League 2013 kicks-off on Tuesday Jan 22nd with the first showcase event of the year. Held at PROUD Galleries in Camden, the night gets started at 7pm and the music itself gets going at 7:30pm. The lineup for each night will not be announced until the night itself, so be sure to arrive on time so as not to miss your favourite acts. We have got a fantastic line-up of 8 bands looking to move forward in the competition and get one step closer to the delicious prize package. Each act will be looking to gain the public’s votes on the night, although text voting opens six days before on Wednesday Jan 16th, so dont forget to browse through the acts on the UML website and start making your selections and showing your support. Please, visit www.unimusicleague.com This will be set-up for all the showcase events, and here are the dates so stick ‘em in your diary: Showcase Round 1: Tuesday Jan 22nd, 7pm (SMS voting opens Wed. Jan 16th) Showcase Round 2: Tuesday Jan 29th, 7pm (SMS voting opens Wed. Jan 23rd) Showcase Round 3: Tuesday Feb 5th, 7pm (SMS voting opens Wed. Jan 30) Showcase Round 4: Tuesday Feb 12th, 7pm (SMS voting opens Wed. Feb 6th) You can of course expect nothing else if not a fantastic party, with student drink prices including £2 beers and £2.50 jagerbombs. Once the live performances finish, one of our resident DJ’s steps up to keep the party going whilst all the votes are counted. Those 4 acts who made it through to the next round will be announced on the night. We will also have the photography exhibition at the event with a selection of the best student photographer applications, so there will be a whole array of ingredients to keep you satisfied all night long. Tickets can be bought on the door for £6.50, but advance online tickets will go on sale by Jan 10th (Thursday) for £5. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
