Adam's Attic Tours Egypt And Turkey
Mi2N - January 14, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA - (Mi2N) Adam's Attic, an alternative pop/rock band, performs in Egypt and Turkey for the U.S. Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) to raise the morale by bringing a taste of home to U.S. military personnel. The 13-day tour includes stops at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt; at Multinational Forces Organizations in north and south Sinai, Egypt; at U.S. Air Base in Incirlik, Turkey; and at U.S. Air Base in Izmir, Turkey. During the AFE tour, the band not only performs but also dines and participates in recreational activities with the service members. At one installation First Lieutenant Christopher Blair posted, "I had a great time listening to you guys the other night, and getting to know all of you was awesome. Thanks for the best memories so far on this deployment." Adam's Attic, the independent, internationally touring, alternative pop/rock band, is promoting their new album Off the Wire and is debuting a single "Purple Heart" written for the U.S. troops. Growing up with fathers, a grandfather, and cousins serving in the military, Joe Henry (singer/songwriter), Derek Henry (bass guitarist), Scott Boaz (drummer), and Frank DeSalvo (guitarist) have a tremendous appreciation for those who sacrifice to serve the United States of America. Joe Henry said, "This morning, I read, '98% of Americans will wake up and enjoy freedom; 2% will wake up and defend it.' We have so much gratitude for these men and women, who serve their country. They lead simple lives, sleep in small quarters, and are prepared to fight when necessary. It is humbling and our honor and privilege to provide our support." While access to the internet is limited and intermittent, the band intends to post tour updates on their fan page and individual profiles on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pages/Adams-Attic/7152084006. ### For more information about Adam's Attic, visit www.adamsatticmusic.com.
