Marco Promotions Launches New Tertiary Radio Promotion Service
James Freeman added to Department
(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 14, 2013) Nashville-based secondary radio promotion company Marco Promotions has launched Marco Tertiary, a new specialty service that promotes singles to the top tertiary radio markets across the U.S.

The service is designed to focus on “music-forward” stations in non-reporting markets, creating an opportunity to introduce a recording artist directly to core consumers. Tertiary networks can frequently serve as a predictor of an artist’s chances to impact at secondary and primary stations.

“These stations are chosen for their proximity to larger markets, their musical aggressiveness and their potential to become reporting stations to one of the major charts in the future,” says Marco Promotions VP Rick Kelly. “As digital sales become the norm across all genres, this direct impact on listeners becomes more and more valuable.”

Marco Promotions currently services more than 75 stations at the tertiary level, with plans to increase its reach to more than 100 stations in 2013. The company continues to market and promote radio singles at the secondary level to the national MusicRow Country Breakout, Billboard Indicator and selected Aircheck Activator charts.

Joining the company to handle day-to-day responsibilities of the tertiary service is MTSU alumni, James Freeman. Freeman, who has been working with the company on a part-time basis for the past 6 months, will report to Rick Kelly and Marco Radio Manager, Sarah Matlock.
