METALEDGE RECORDS SIGNS ITALIAN METAL BAND TOTHEM
Website: http://www.metaledgerecords.com For Immediate Release Dallas, TX - Metaledge Records announced last night that it has signed Italian melodic metal band Tothem to a two year deal. The label will release the band's debut album "Beyond The Sea" in the summer of 2013. Tothem is considered by the international critics as one of the most talented and promising bands of the Italian and international melodic metal scene. After a brief hiatus after releasing their self produced eponymous album "Tothem" the band reformed with original members Black Cyril, and Roslen and added new members, Leo, on bass guitar, Andrea The Joker, on drums, and Marco, on keyboards. During the years they have played at the best clubs in Rome, such as the Qube, the Alpheus, Ex-Magazzini, Coetus, Black Out, Jailbreak and so on. Then they took part in the Emergenza Rock competitions, reaching the finals, and reaching the semi-finals in the Live Magic Contest at Alpheus. Recently they placed second at the “We a.r.e. the festival” contest among more than 100 bands, while Roslen was awarded as the best female singer. Up to now they have recorded two demos (Automatisma and Pray) and two Eps (Tothem in 2003 and Osaka Bed & Breakfast released in 2010 in limited edition). Osaka Bed & Breakfast, the latest Ep received great critical success and audience approval (300 copies were immediately sold out, enhanced by the chance of the free download of the songs)especially among foreign listeners and the band’s popularity is constantly growing. "Beyond The Sea" has legitimized the Roman band, no more as a promise but a reality of the world music scene. If the critics are unanimous in the opinion, the public has responded effectively by buying the album. Then, at the end of December, Tothem performed songs from the "Beyond The Sea" album as part of Radio Popolare Roma. At the moment the band is promoting the album throughout Europe with live shows too.
