AWARD WINNING PERFORMER PUTS A DIFFERENT TWIST ON VALENTINES DAY
London based Singer/Songwriter ILONA releases her first single on the 10th of February, just in time for Valentines Day. It is a bittersweet song called My Favourite Defeat and tells the story of “the one that got away”. It has proved to be such a hit in her live set that fans and friends, who identify with the powerful lyrical message, urged her to release it as a kind of alternative anthem for the many people who aren’t actually in a relationship right now and for whom Valentines day has a more melancholic meaning.
Ilona will be playing a special acoustic set at London’s Regal Room on the 14th Feb at 8pm.
The pre-release video for My Favourite Defeat has already had critical acclaim and within a week had gone straight into the top 50 on the BEAT100 charts

My Favourite Defeat comes out on miniMAJOR Music, the label that ILONA set up with manager/producer/writer Tony Moore which is distributed by Absolute via Universal worldwide.
