Steve Cooke’s Video “Working For The USA,” Reaches 150,000 Views In Time For Inauguration Day.
Steve Cooke’s video, for his smash single “Working for the USA” has reached 150,000 views, just in time for Obama’s inauguration. The Pete Seeger lyric style workers anthem, was released last year to observe the 130th anniversary of the labor movement. “President Obama’s Proclamation commitment, to preserve the ‘collective bargaining rights’ of workers, is the key tool for the public to rebuild the middle classes and it’s the essence of the video,” says Cooke. Filming for the music clip took place in a furniture factory in Chino/USA (not China) and features Cooke with his band of celebrity musicians taking on the roles of the real factory workers. Actor Mark Ryan (Transformers), plays the greedy boss and Australian heart throb Martin Dinglewall (Neighbors) plays his blue collared factory worker, with mother and son actor’s Patricia and Paris Lueger playing his family. The song took off soon after Cooke appeared on the front cover of the FMQB /Triple A radio industry disc with Dave Mathews, Keb Mo and Joe Walsh of the Eagles. Midwest radio stations are still spinning the first song “Working for the USA” and Cooke is continuing to carry out radio interviews, featuring songs from his new album of the same name. “Working for the USA” has also received two prestigious music awards. “Best Americana Rock Song” at the Hollywood Music in Media awards and “Best New Album” at the Malibu Music Awards. Music Dish covered Cooke’s video release worldwide and Warped Magazine featured an interview with him in their January issue, where his video reached the no 1 position on their website. In addition to the video, the artist released two behind the scenes interviews with the factory owners and musicians, talking about the recession. Steve Cooke will be at NAMM, representing Seymour Duncan next week and will continue to spread his message of love and “work for America”. He will return to the studio for the final touches on his next single due out in March. This Americana troubadour will be one to watch in 2013!
