Vivo Musique Announces Debut Single From Rafael & Energía Dominicana

January 21, 2013, Montreal, Quebec, Canada- Merenguero & bachatero Rafael (Rafael & Energía Dominicana) will release his debut single "Bailame" on January 25, 2013. “Bailame” is the Quebecois-Dominican singer’s original merengue from with a contemporary popular sound. "Bailame" was produced by Rafael, Pascal Laraque and Kuky Carbuccia in Montreal.

"Bailame" is also the debut recording release for Montreal, Quebec based record label Vivo Musique Internationale. The song is the first single from Rafael’s upcoming debut full length album to be released in 2013.

Rafael (Wilsikin Esteban Medina Arias) is a Montreal based Latin music singer-songwriter and bandleader originally from Bani, Dominican Republic. He launched a solo career at the end of 2008 with his nine piece orchestra ‘Rafael & Energía Dominicana’. Without a recording available in the marketplace, Rafael & Energía Dominicana have performed at some of Canada’s most prestigious festivals and events that include Festival International Nuits d’Afrique (3 years consecutive), Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad-Paralympics in Whistler B.C., Festival International Rythmes du monde du Saguenay (2 years).

Rafael also does ongoing volunteer activities with Montreal’s Sun Youth-Jeunesse au soleil Organisation and Heritage Home Rehabilitation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

“Bailame” will be distributed digitally by DEP Distribution Ltd-Universal Music Canada- Believe Digital.

The song is available in advance for DJ’s clubs, radio and/or for review upon request.
