Singer/Songwriter Lani Ford Honored With DAISY ROCK Endorsement, ASCAP Plus Award, Supercuts ROCK THE CUT Artist Ambassador And A New Video

In January, she was granted with her 8th ASCAP Plus Award for performance and songwriting. “ASCAP Plus Awards are based on panel review of recent activity of writer applicants. Each applicant is considered on merit and in the context of all others applying. ASCAP Plus Awards is not a contest or competition involving the critical evaluation of any specific work or works. The primary basis for panel determinations is the activity generated by each member's catalog, with emphasis on recent performances.” (http://www.ascap.com) The singer, songwriter, bassist, and guitarist also received a new artist endorsement from Daisy Rock Guitars. “You can’t be Lani if your don’t have her life experience, if you haven’t watched the world turn and your life hasn’t been a box of chocolates because Lani’s gift to this world is this – she brings life to words and she brings life to music. Be humbled, we are,” says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars. “Daisy Rock is doing whatever it takes to help girls play guitar and enjoy music...Daisy Rock is passionate about empowering girls and helping to give them the confidence and the tools to do whatever it is that they enjoy.” (http://www.daisyrock.com) With the beginning of 2013, comes a 2nd year for Ford as a Supercuts Rock the Cut Artist Ambassador. Her song with Tania & The Revolutionaries “Pity the Fool” is available for download on the Supercuts website. The gypsy cowpunk band’s sophomore EP release has been slightly delayed but it has been recorded and final production is underway for a release of “Walk Away Clean” in 2013. (http://rockthecut.supercuts.com) Ford also plans to record a solo album this year and has finished up a video of one of the songs, “Lies I Wanna Hear” which was recently recorded in Nashville. The video was shot in one day with friends in Pacific Palisades, California while Ford was there in November to play the Los Angeles Women in Music Singer/Songwriter Showcase. Leanne Campbell of Passion Media Productions and sax player/singer/actress Justine Jones (both from Melbourne, Australia) directed, shot and edited the footage featuring Jones, Ford and actor Nick Annunziata who Ford befriended during her many appearances on Outlaw Radio. The video can be seen on You Tube and Facebook. “Now I just need to get my Australian tour together!” says Ford who feels inspired by all the work that still needs to be done and grateful for the recent recognition and support of her amazing friends.
