Johnny Good Releases New Single “Your Love”
Website: http://www.mondotunes.com Canadian singer-songwriter of alternative music, Johnny Good, has released his newest single, “Your Love.” The single is the predecessor to and harbinger of his upcoming LP album, “FEAR.” The single itself is a bluesy rock track with a classic '60s feel that features Beatles-esque clean channel guitar work, beautiful brass accompaniment, and straightforward, no-nonsense drumming, all of which are played deep in the groove. The most prominent attribute of Johnny Good's track remains, like most if not all of Good's work, his own raw, rich vocals. His singing on “Your Love” is heartfelt, direct, and full of passionate power that contrasts well against the easy, romantic roll of the track to create a sense of tragic urgency. However this overarching tone never edges near melodrama, thanks to the live, classic feel of the song, which Good manages to perform like a rockabilly cross between Ray Charles and John Lennon. This comprehensive approach to music writing and performance adds a level of depth and complexity to even the most pop-minded aspects of Good's music (which aspects are relatively few – his tracks feel as if each song is written for its own sake). Of this stylistic elasticity, Good says, ”I suppose I have a bit of ADD with things and don’t like to do the same thing for too long. I get bored really easily, and in order for it maintain my attention I need it to be a constant challenge.” Finding a constant challenge cannot have been easy over an entire lifetime.
