Rock Solid Pressure Gears Up For The 2013 Radio Competitions
Website: http://www.rocksolidpressure.com The nationally syndicated FM and Internet radio broadcast 'Rock Solid Pressure' featuring the dungeon duo of the airwaves 'J-Rock and Patty The Radio Girl' are preparing to unleash the 11th annual 'Rock Solid Pressure Radio Competitons 2013.' It was stated in a press release last year that the radio competitions would end after 10 long years of battle. The demand to keep the competitions going became a massive outcry from fans and paticipating voters. The demand was heard and the show decided to keep the competitions on the air. There will be a slight difference this year though. Rather than having the usual 2 or 3 months of battle. It has been condensed into 2 nights. Feb 25th and March 4th. There will be one grand prize winner from each night. The competing bands will be Monday Feb 25th: ASHENTIDE (CA), BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA (Aus), 3 QUARTERS DEAD (NC), KILLCODE (NY), BORN OF THE STARS (AZ), SCENT OF REMAINS (TN), IN THE SILENCE (CA). Monday March 4th: SUNFLOWER DEAD (CA), FINAL CURSE (NC), PSYPHEN (AZ), SILENT REDEMPTION (IL), DROPCLUTCH (NY), A LIGHT DIVIDED (NC), COURAGE YOU BASTARDS (CA). Rock Solid Pressure exploded onto the scene in a small Connecticut radio station in 2002. It originated as a revolt to the fluffy reality music TV shows. The broadcast quickly became an underground hit in a stagnant and suffering national music scene. Live Showcases for Sony Records quickly followed and the rest is etched in hard rock history. The multi sponsored show moved to Central Florida and now commands an immense loyal following through FM and internet syndication. The Rock Solid Pressure Showcase is no longer an exclusive event for members of Sony Records A&R. Many new labels and industry insiders have jumped on the panels through the years, and a dynasty has been forged for the unsigned music community with this annual event. The radio competitions will determine who we will see on the showcase stage in September of 2013. After reviewing thousands of bands, the 14 bands that made the cut will go head to head in a blazing 2 night competition. The listener's realtime votes will move their favorite bands into victory or defeat. The grand prize winner from each night will perform at the industry showcase.. The annual live Showcase is always heralded by the media as being more attentive than SXSW and other events of this magnitude. It's not about having the right connections to grace the stage. It's all about the music and serious networking. The labels and industry insiders know they have a job to do on the panel. That's to critique, and possibly sign 20 of the best 'hand picked' bands from around the country. The Showcase has since become one of the most talked about events in North America. 2013 will be the 11 Year Anniversary, so expect another huge spectacle!. The best of all Rock/Metal genres will be offered up for the industry in a slam bang event of heavy duty networking. The Showcase also gives the general public a peek inside the recording industry. The radio show is also known for featuring the best A-List superstar guests as well. J-Rock is a well known musician from South Jersey who has toured with some of the biggest bands in the world in the 80's and 90's. Many of his 8 albums have charted internationally. He's also a well known former rock journalist, and presently is an Events Coordinator, and A&R consultant for many record labels. Patty was a corporate radio host from Connecticut, and worked in television in Greece. When the pair teamed up as the broadcast duo for 'Rock Solid Pressure', an enigma was born and they literally revolutionized radio with their fun, interactive show, which broadcasts from a Dungeon no less. Corporate sponsors work hand in hand with indie sponsors of the broadcast. Nothing like this has ever happened in a corporate America world. The Rock Solid Pressure Show is now being aired on small FM markets around the country who are fed up with corporate domination and the 'same old' revolving playlist. A pilot TV show has already been completed, and is also being shopped to networks. Although they have that rebellious, and dark edge, the show is not anti-corporate.
