Spectra Jazz Releases Debut By The Brown Edition

Voted twice as the "Best Band of Olympia" by Tacoma, Washington's The Weekly Volcano, "The Brown Edition" has signed with Spectra Jazz records of Spectra Music Group LLC.
The debut release entitled "Soulpocalypse", shows off an eight-piece band that quickly became known for its high energy Funk-Jazz and Blues compositions and stage shows.
In recent days, the troupe has been packing club venues all along the Pacific Northwest.
The Brown Edition sites influences by Steely Dan, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Tower of Power, James Brown, Los Lobos and Earth, Wind & Fire fronted with powerhouse vocals by Miguel Pineda.
Extensive tour dates are in the works throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Band members include Miguel Pineda (Lead vocals and guitar); Thomas Pell (Bass & Vocals); Tarik Bentlemsani (Guitars); Ivan Gunderson (Drums); Miguel Lopez (Congas & Percussion); Aaron Wolff (Sax);
Ninee Wolff (Flute); Brian Briggs (Trumpet); with additional musicians, Brent Pendleton (Keyboards); Nathan Geyer(Trombone); Jeff Brooks (Clarinet & Sax).
"Soulpocalypse" will be released digitally on February 26, 2013 via Amazon and iTunes.
