Brisbane Digital Music Artist Doodis Releases New Single “The Finish Line”
Website: http://www.mondotunes.com The digital music artist from Brisbane, Australia known as Doodis has released his newest single, an exceedingly upbeat, high-energy track called “The Finish Line.” The track features all the usual digital instrumentation Doodis' has been known and loved for, with the addition of a healthy dose of adrenaline and positivity. The track is at its heart a kind of march in double-time with a youthful, vivacious melody line atop energy-charged synth chords, somewhat reminiscent of a “Chariots of Fire” rendition on XTC, if such can be imagined. The absolute optimism of “The Finish Line” is unstoppably joyous and triumphant, while the beat itself keeps to a relatively low, Jazzercise-friendly pace that is as apt a background for weight training or calisthenics as it is for jogging at a fair clip. It represents that rare work of digital music that can be played on repeat for an unlikely amount of time without becoming tired, and in like wise impart an added burst of endorphins to the listener, as well. While “The Finish Line” was in part composed as a kind of background score to athletic endeavors, to fans of “The Mysterious” Doodis it also represents a deviation from much of his usual fare, which can range from somewhat shadowy (see “Jungle Surfing”) to downright dark (“Marching through a Nightmare”). However, the title track of his recently released “Hypnotic Dreams” EP presaged the sort of fun-loving whimsicality that is embodied in this newest single, “The Finish Line,” and it may be that listeners have more such musical sunshine from Doodis to await.
