Mary Megan Peer Promoted To Broader Leadership Role
peermusic has announced the promotion of Mary Megan Peer to the position of President - Asia Pacific & Strategic Markets, effective March 20th 2013. Based in New York, Mary Megan will report to CEO Ralph Peer. She will also continue to focus on global business development working with peermusic CFO Bill Gorjance.
Mary Megan moves to this role after two years serving as Managing Director of peermusic's Buenos Aires office, during which time she also supported peer's international deal activity. Her new role encompasses leadership of the company's offices, initiatives and partnerships throughout East and Southeast Asia and Brazil, and pursuit of worldwide business development opportunities.
Prior to joining peermusic in 2009, Mary Megan was an investment banker in the media and entertainment groups of Piper Jaffrey, Jefferies and SG Cowen. Her career began in the music business, working with eMusic and then at Clive Davis' BMG Records in New York. She earned a BA with honors from Stanford University, and an MBA from Columbia University.
