Roadrunner Artists Stone Sour, Rush, Gojira, Kvelertak And Slipknot Nominated For Several Revolver Golden Gods Awards In Multiple Categories
Roadrunner Records is celebrating multiple nominations from the 2013 Revolver Golden Gods Awards for Stone Sour, Rush, Gojira, Kvelertak and Slipknot - all nominated in several categories. The awards will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.
Stone Sour, who will be performing at the event, has been nominated for three Golden Gods Awards, Album of the Year for House of Gold & Bones Part 1, Best Vocalist - Corey Taylor and Best Drummer - Roy Mayorga. Stone Sour is currently on tour across North America promoting House of Gold & Bones Part 1 which was released October 22, 2012; their forthcoming release, House of Gold & Bones Part 2 will out April 9, 2013.
2013 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Inductees Rush has been nominated for three awards - Best Guitarist - Alex Lifeson , Best Bassist - Geddy Lee and Best Drummer - Neil Peart. Rush has been on the road in support of Clockwork Angels, their first studio album in five years. It debuted at on the Billboard 200 chart at #2 in the United States.
Gojira has been nominated for two awards, Album of the Year - L'Enfant Sauvage, which topped many 2012 year end best of lists, and Best Drummer - Mario Duplantier. The band is currently on tour throughout the United States before heading out on their European tour.
Norwegian heavy rock and roll band, Kvelertak, Roadrunner's most recent signing, was nominated for Best New Band. Their upcoming release Meir will be out March 26, 2013.
Slipknot was also nominated in the Best Live Band and Most Dedicated Fans Award categories.
