Music Photojournalist Chandler Moulton Joins The Shack Band Family As Press Agent
Website: http://theshackband.com/ Music: http://theshackband.com/audio/ The Shack Band is proud to announce that photojournalist Chandler Moulton,(Metro Music, Magazine33, Area Code Greetings) has joined The Shack Band, a progressive funk rock band based in Richmond, Va., as the group's press representative. Moulton, (who started as a photojournalist in Memphis, Tn., with the help of Catrina Guttery (formally of the Memphis Music Foundation and current manager of Memphis Latin Jazz singer Marcela Pinilla) and John Garrison publisher of the local Memphis music magazine, Metro Music,) said of the new partnership: I've watched the hard work these guys have put in over the last two years since I meet them with most of their time spent on the road playing relentlessly up and down the East Coast. that type of hard work and dedication needs to be rewarded and with the release of the group's first EP Born and Raised The Shack Band is ready to take the next step. With me taking over the publicity duties it will free more time for the members of The Shack Band to focus on what they do best: making music. The Shack Band is comprised of Andrew Gillespie Keyboard/Vocals), Mason Owen(Bass/Vocals),Hunter Pease(Guitar/Vocals), Josh Crowley (Saxophone), and Bobby Hudson (Drums). Starting out in 2008 as a quartet during their college years at Virginia Tech and holding rehearsals in a shack, The Shack Band has built a reputation on the southeast college circuit with their off the cuff live shows and original sound, an improvisational blend of funk, blues,and progressive rock. With the recent addition of Crowley on saxophone (as a full time member of the group) The Shack Band's sound has achieved an even deeper and more textured feel. With an enthusiastic stage presence and outstanding original material the band has opened for some of the top touring acts including moe., Perpetual Groove, The Pimps of Joytime, Moon Taxi, The Heavy Pets, and The Georgia Satellites.
