The annual Moonlight Dance Carnival will once again bring the hottest DJs and the most insane foam party to southern Taiwan in April for 3 days straight. For 13 years, the carnival has attracted tens of thousands of party goers to sunny Kenting with its incredible live electronic performances, and this year, it will be as amazing as ever. Moonlight Party has announced this year's line-up of Taiwan's top DJs who will be spinning the best beats as attendees rock out in foam.

The first MoonLight Party, which lasted for 8 days, took place in 2001 under the direction of veteran music producers David Jr. and Subin. The two visionaries wanted to hold a week-long festival inspired by Britain's psychedelic and electronic music culture. The party's popularity quickly rose as more, with as many as 18000 people attending one year.

This year's impressive line-up will feature an array of top DJs and electronic bands across genre. In particular, the festival will showcase Red "紅樂團", one of the most talked about groups in the Taiwanese electronic scene. What makes Red unique is their ability to fuse elements of the electronic genre and traditional Chinese music, or "Guoyue". The band's mixes feature sounds from traditional Chinese instruments, such as Guzheng, Erhu, and Pipa, making them one of a kind. These two seemingly conflicting genres are somehow melded with the lead vocalist's clear, graceful pitch, producing the pinnacle of Asian electronica. With such a distinctly local flavor to their music, Red can definitely be called a Taiwanese marvel.

Yet, that is not all. The three-day dance fest will also feature veterans of both the Taiwanese and international music scene, including Duckie DigDoug, D Hooker, Lara, Cougar, Askasksu, and much more. With this exciting line-up, this year's MoonLight Party will definitely be one to remember.
