THE GRAMMY® MUSEUM PREMIERES FEATURE-LENGTH DOCUMENTARY “HAPPY ON THE GROUND: 8 DAYS AT GRAMMY CAMP® DURING GRAMMY WEEK

(Los Angeles, CA) – The GRAMMY® Museum premiered the feature length documentary “Happy On The Ground: 8 Days At Grammy Camp” during GRAMMY® Week, which chronicles 83 hand-picked high school musicians from around the country who unite for one week in Los Angeles at the GRAMMY Foundation® to write, record and perform all-original music for a professional showcase concert. The film captures the heartwarming personalities and passions of an extraordinary group of musicians, while also exploring the lack of music education funding in our public school system, which is detrimental to the future of the music industry.

During an eight day, highly challenging period, the GRAMMY Campers meet one another for the first time, collaborate, compose original music and produce a showcase concert. During this special week, the campers also receive valuable insight and guidance from top musicians including Gavin Rossdale, Boy II Men, Barry Manilow, Dave Koz and Pearl Jam’s Dave Krusen who mentor the students throughout the process.
