NARM And Digitalmusic.org Combine Popular Music Startup Academy, Entertainment & Technology Law Conference Events In Nashville

February 28, 2013 – Music business association NARM and digitalmusic.org, the home of NARM’s digital initiatives, will host a special event in Nashville, TN, that combines two of the organizations’ most popular conference series: the Music Startup Academy and the Entertainment & Technology Law Conference. Presented in conjunction with Belmont University and The Copyright Forum, the event will be held Friday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Belmont University, with the Music Startup Academy running from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the Entertainment & Technology Law Conference running from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Music Startup Academy gives entrepreneurs, music startups, app developers, students, and music industry professionals the tools they need to better understand key industry concepts such as the interactions between labels and publishing companies, product licensing and royalty reporting, content acquisition, business development, and more. Meanwhile, the Entertainment and Technology Law Conference brings together noted experts on music law to debate some of the hottest topics facing the industry, including sweepstakes and promotions on social media, copyright termination, music licensing for television, and more.

Attendees can register for a full-day pass or an individual event at http://nashvillemusicbizevent.eventbrite.com. Full-day passes cost $179 for members, $229 for non-members, and $99 for students and startups; registration for the Entertainment & Technology Law Conference costs $149 for members, $199 for non-members, and $69 for students; and registration for the Music Startup Academy costs $49 across the board.
