Camille Kaye's 2nd Mixtape Nominated "Best R&B Mixtape 2012"

Camillle Kaye released her 2nd mixtape titled "14Kaye" on November 20th 2012 and to date has over 1000 downloads from www.camillekaye.com alone. The Official Mixtape Awards has nominated 14Kaye "Best R&B Mixtape for 2012." 14Kaye is a collection of 14 cleverly remixed renditions of classic R&B/Hip Hop songs. This compilation was produced by Manager/Producer Duane "Midilord" Summers who has worked with artist like Sean Paul, Shaggy and Slick Rick just to name a few. For 14Kaye Midilord recruited Abstrakt to play keyboards on track number 3 titled "One In a Million", and Veer Dhaniram to play piano on track number 11, titled "Fame". That nomination was for the work she did on her first mixtape titled "Bad Nuh…!", which was released September 10th, 2011. Music) The Official Mixtape Awards, was established 2010 by Milton McClymont. The awards ceremony is held annually in the United Kingdome, giving recognition to the musical works of artists, producers, DJ's, and others in the mixtape culture. Once nominated by the organization within various categories, voting is then available at www.officialmixtapeawards.com, votes are tallied to decide who is the winner in each category, who then receives an award at the ceremony. A mixtape is a promotional CD that artists use to promote themselves and their music. Mixtapes are so valuable now, and has launched many careers, allowing artists to build and strengthen their grassroots fan. You can now find mixtapes being sold on iTunes digitally and in stores such as HMV. Born Camille Tiffany-Kaye Fletcher in Kingston, Jamaica, on October 15th 1989, her professional singing career started with an introduction to Dancehall producer Supahype of 007 Music. She worked with him along with other local producers until leaving for Florida to attend Florida International University in 2007. While attending FIU, Camille worked with Dancehall producer Nynex of Calibur Entertainment who pre produced "Ring Di Alarm". Then she met Duane "Midilord" Summers, former production manager and engineer for Dancehall/Reggae superstars Sean Paul and Shaggy. Midilord produced her first iTunes release, "Trouble", as well as all the tracks on both of her mixtapes "Bad Nuh…!", and "24Kaye" which both has now earned nominations at the Official Mixtape Awards in the UK 2 years in a row.
