The World's Largest Music Distributor, TuneCore, Announces Hiring Of New Chief Marketing Officer

TuneCore, the largest music distributor and one of the highest artist revenue-generating music catalogs in the world announced today the hiring of Tamra Lichtman as Chief Marketing Officer.

"We are thrilled to introduce Tamra as TuneCore's CMO and a member of our Executive Team," says Scott Ackerman, COO of TuneCore. "With Tamra's impressive experience in meeting the needs of customers, strong operational skills, and her penchant for startups, she will be instrumental in helping TuneCore achieve its mission of empowering artists to create, distribute, license and sell their digital content and to collect any sales and royalties due to them."

Tamra has over 20 years in marketing and operations, having worked on leading, industry heavyweight consumer brands like Evian and Clorox, both of which have grossed hundreds of millions in revenue. She also shaped strategies for acquisition and retention marketing and new product development at Shutterstock and Webloyalty.com, growing the latter from a budding startup to over $290 million in revenue.

As an honors graduate from Harvard Business School, Tamra brings both the experience and knowledge to amplify TuneCore's brand so more artists will benefit from its ongoing expansion of services and capabilities. "I am confident in TuneCore's potential to grow by continuing to provide artists with high quality, affordable distribution coupled with superior publishing administration to ensure artists are paid the revenue to which they're rightfully entitled," says Tamra Lichtman.

With the addition of a Chief Marketing Officer, TuneCore is solidifying its commitment to marketing, enhanced product development and rapid growth to support artists. This new hire follows TuneCore's recent announcement that its Publishing Administration Service expanded by signing several new sub-publishing agreements. Serving as songwriters' worldwide publishing administrator, TuneCore registers globally compositions with hundreds of societies and digital stores and then collects the revenue from the artists' music downloads and streams in over 60 countries.
