LOS ANGELES, July 30, 2013—Memory Lane Music Group announces signing of the all-female hip-hop duo Nola Darling (made up of Alexandra Lavelanet and Jaquita Tale) to an exclusive, worldwide publishing administration deal.

Their signature sound - a deep blend of Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Haitian Rhythm, Reggae, Soul, House, and Jazz - was first heard on their premier offering "Nola Darling's Pretty Gritty Mini-Mixtape."

Recently, Nola Darling collaborated with chart topping Australian group, Yolanda Be Cool on the international smash "Change," for YBC's debut album "Ladies and Mentalmen" (Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records). "Change” has been in heavy rotations on radio stations from Bali to London (BBC 1) and beyond. The tune hit #1 on the official Korean EDM chart in May 2013. "We’re thrilled Alex and Jaq have joined the Memory Lane family,” says Mark Spier, President/CEO. “Adding their unique sound brings continued diversity to our catalog.”

Signed by Aaron Monty, Director of Creative for Memory Lane Music Group, Nola Darling joins Memory Lane’s talented roster including The Blakes, Jerry Barnes (Boyz II Men, Ashanti, Roberta Flack, Juicy, Tony Terry, Blackstreet, Raheem DeVaughm, Mike Phillips), Sherrod Barnes (Beyoncé, Ashanti, Boyz II Men, Kumi Koda), Selan Lerner (Raheem DeVaughn, Leon Ware, Ashanti, Louie Vega, DJ Spinna), Ty Fyffe (Ja Rule, Snoop Dog, Jay Z, NAS, LL Cool J, Foxy Brown, Cam’Ron), and Roger Greene (Lil’ Kim, P. Diddy, Maino, Sole), amongst others. Nola Darling is managed by Qiana Conley of Cue the Creatives.

About Memory Lane Music Group: Memory Lane Music Group (MLMG), including its subsidiaries Larry Spier Music and Scion Music, is an independent, full-service music publisher. With over 90 years in the music publishing business and offices in New York, LA, London and Australia, MLMG represents thousands of copyrights world-wide that range in genre and era including standards, pop, rock, alternative, jazz, latin, hip-‐hop, rap, disco, r&b, and gospel.
