September 24, 2013, Seattle, WA – Now available on iTunes and Amazon, the seven song debut EP Zombie Lover from Northwest duo Solveig & Stevie blends elements of folk and pop built on a heritage steeped in 80s power pop. These two music veterans have teamed up to produce an eclectic album with rap, electronics and rock incorporated seamlessly into a single electrifying album. The album has also been submitted for consideration for a Grammy in the 56th annual awards.

“Solveig & Stevie are what would happen if Natalie Merchant became an EDM DJ and took the lead of Fleetwood Mack. From soft rock to 80s power pop to alternative to dubstep wobbles, the Zombie Lover EP packs plenty of aural stimulation for music lovers with eclectic palettes.”– Joshua Smotherman, Middle Tennessee Music

Solveig Whittle and Stevie Adamek have come together from two different worlds. Adamek has held record contracts and performed with a variety of bands over the years, including Scepter Records (See Band) and Columbia/CBS (Bighorn). He was also the lead writer for The Allies, an iconic 80’s Seattle punk band. Solveig’s background was in folk and pop, performing in multiple bands, collaborating with former Heart guitarist Roger Fisher. She is also a founding member local folk band Shades of Red.

“This EP is classy. It covers a wide range and leaves me wanting to hear more from this outfit. The sound varies from harder rocking to more progressive rock styled and classic rock influenced and it even moves into rap territory. The majority of the vocals are female, but there are some male ones, too. All in all, this is a cool set of tunes.” - G. W. Hill, Music Street Journal

Solveig & Stevie appear regularly live at local northwest venues, and are planning a European tour for 2014.
