The ICMP And London College Of Fashion Make Music Together
The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (Intitute) and the London College of Fashion (LCF) have been mixing music and fashion together at a Christmas Party held on Wednesday the 4th of December, at LCF’s Shepherd’s Bush venue; the first of many collaborative events.
The evening celebrated LCF’s ‘Pigeons and Peacocks’ magazine, issue #6, with a series of performances from Institute students. It also provided a fantastic opportunity for students to meet each other and discuss future projects.
There were four acoustics sets from Georgia Patterson, Joe Bernie, Joanna McGowan with Nathan Cable and Harry Nicol (Rebel Actors duo). The night was completed with performances by Institute bands, The Lovers, Shooting Suns and Audiohores. Matt Frye of VICE collective was the event DJ.
The get together was a great success with more than one hundred and fifty students taking part. Both schools aim to make this a regular event encouraging social and artistic relationships between them and encourage student collaborations.
Richard Strange, Insitute Creative Collaborations Project Coordinator with Kelly Strange, Programme Director Fashion Communication at LCF, jointly commented: "Our Christmas party was a hugely successful inaugural event, celebrating the ongoing relationship between our colleges, our staff and, most importantly, our students. Every one of the seven Institute acts was of the highest quality and professionalism. A wonderfully convivial and entertaining evening, we very much hope to repeat again next year."
