Aha Radio Integrates More Than 65 Radio Stations From Univision's Uforia Digital Music Service

HARMAN announced today that its Aha Radio service has partnered with Univision Radio, the leading Hispanic radio group that owns and operates 69 broadcast radio stations in 16 of the top 25 U.S. markets, to integrate more 65 radio stations from the Uforia digital music service into Aha-enabled vehicles and mobile apps. This partnership represents a continuing effort by Univision Radio to provide Hispanic audiences with high-quality content across all its platforms. For Aha, this is another step to further expand its content offerings and specifically, to provide high-quality content to Hispanic audiences in the U.S.

"The growth of digital music and our Uforia app is driven by our ability to offer our listeners the music they want, wherever they are, regardless of platform."

The integration of Univision Radio's top radio stations and digital channels into the Aha platform essentially delivers the breadth of content from Uforia's digital music service into the connected car, offering drivers across the globe exclusive genre channels not available on broadcast radio and specially curated by Univision Radio programmers including: "Kumbiazo," "El Sancho," "Planeta Rock," among others. The breadth of Hispanic content will be delivered to over two million Aha-enabled vehicles and mobile app users. The Aha Radio mobile app is integrated into more than 50 car models of 14 leading automakers including Acura, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Porsche, Scion, Subaru and Toyota.

"This new partnership with Aha Radio helps us continue to serve and reach our listeners in new and meaningful ways," said Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio. "The growth of digital music and our Uforia app is driven by our ability to offer our listeners the music they want, wherever they are, regardless of platform."

Launched in July of this year, the Uforia digital music service aligns Univision's music efforts under one umbrella and solidifies the company's position as Hispanic America's home for music discovery, regardless of language or platform. As part of its strategy, Uforia includes worldwide premieres on TV, Radio, and Digital, by both established artists (from Prince Royce to Vicente Fernandez and Marc Anthony), and developing artists (from Ariana Grande to Becky G and J Balvin).

Uforia leverages the size and scale of Univision's media platforms, offering the most cutting edge entertainment to Hispanic America, which constitutes 17 percent of the total United States population, or 55 million people (2012 U.S. Census Bureau).

"At CES, HARMAN is showcasing a number of new solutions that upgrade, connect, or improve both the infotainment and audio experience for vehicles on the road today," said David Slump, president, Automotive Services. "We realize people have choices in the applications they use for music and other content while they are in the car and on the go. We believe the addition of Univision Radio's content makes Aha a leading choice for Spanish-speaking individuals in America and around the globe."
