(Nashville, TN)---One of the hottest and fastest growing country/rock bands in America, DOWNDAY, releases their sophomore single “The Last Song” to country radio today. Working with platinum selling producer Steve Freeman and signed to Render Records, “The Last Song” is the first single from DOWNDAY's sophomore album, After All These Years. The album is slated for release on May 26, 2014 and will feature Jonathan Cain from Journey on the title track. "The Last Song" will be available via iTunes on February 11th.

The high energy southern rock and roll band scored their first Country radio Top 40 hit in 2013 with debut single, “Back in the Day,” while the music video made its home on CMT, GAC, ZUUS Country and TNN. Alongside the single release, “Back in the Day” was chosen to be featured on the home page of iTunes in June of 2013 and was the most added song at reporting country radio for two straight weeks.

Currently selling out venues all over Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri and Louisiana, DOWNDAY will be embarking on the Grip It Rip It & Rock It Tour 2014 sponsored by the GIASI Beverage company, HOOTERS and the Original John Daly Cocktail. The band will be representing PGA Golfer and two-time Major Cham¬pion John Daly’s new beverage at concert lo¬cations all over the United States. Many concert events will feature John Daly on site for signings and special event meet and greets with DOWNDAY.

The Arkansas-based band founded by Rockey Jones and Christian Dean along with drummer Mike Martin and bassist Damon Shores have been blaz¬ing new music trails across the state of Arkansas, as well as, the en¬tire mid south region, growing their fan base at a rapid rate with their unique blend of southern rock style, country melodies, blue collar messages and tight harmonies.

Their live show is a perfect mixture of up tempo country and good old fashion southern rock and roll that draws in any crowd and has been described by fans, promoters and venue owners as more of an "Event" or "Experience" than just a concert. DOWNDAY has been selling out venues for the last year all over the mid south region.
