Round Hill Music Opens Nashville Office Fronted By New General Manager, Mark Brown

Bookmark and Share

Round Hill Music, a full-service creative rights management company with a core focus on music publishing, is excited to officially announce the opening of their Nashville office at 1004 18th Avenue South.

"Nashville is a vital hub of creators. Round Hill is proud to expand our business by entering into this market" -Neil Gillis, President, Round Hill Music

In addition, Round Hill Music are proud to announce that Nashville music industry veteran, Mark Brown has joined the team as Vice President and General Manager of the Nashville office. Brown joins the company from MPR Entertainment Group's publishing arm, Root 49 Music, where he spent 3 years as Chief Creative Officer. Brown has worked extensively in both publishing and A&R throughout his career, notably spending time within Warner/Chapell's Music Publishing arm, serving as Creative Director for Universal Music Publishing Group, as well as Senior Director of A&R for Sony Records.

Mark joins Director of A&R, Kari Smith, who joined Round Hill Music in Spring of 2013. Together, the two contribute a wealth of music industry experience in the local scene and beyond, and are strong foundations for the beginning of the Nashville office.

"Mark Is one of the most experienced, connected and respected A&R executives in Nashville and we are thrilled to have Mark head our Nashville operations." - Josh Gruss, CEO/Chairman, Round Hill Music

To round out the trifecta of announcements, Round Hill Music has acquired the Big Tractor catalog, along with it's expansive roster of hit country songs and artists, including "Doin' What She Likes," by Blake Shelton and "All Over The Road," by Easton Corbin.

Under the newly signed venture, Round Hill Music gains copyright to some of the most iconic country hits, like the #1 track, "Amazed," by Lonestar, which spent eight weeks at the top of the Billboard Country charts in 1999. Besides Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Getting Back Together," "Amazed" is the only country song to have crossed over and reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop charts in the last ten years.

The catalog also features recent hit singles like "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me," by country super star Hunter Hayes and George Strait's, "I Saw God Today," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in 2008, and also won Single Of The Year at the 2008 Country Music Awards. Also attached to the Big Tractor catalog is writer Wade Kirby, who has had songs recorded by Kenny Rogers, Rodney Atkins and Faith Hill, as well as writer Rachel Proctor, who has penned hits for Jessica Simpson and Jesse Lee.
