Sennheiser Introduces New Lineup Of DJ Headphones At The 2014 NAMM Show: HD6 Mix, HD7 DJ And HD8 DJ

Anaheim, CA, January 22, 2014: Audio specialist Sennheiser [Hall A, booth 6577] announces a brand new range of professional mixing and DJ headphones at the 2014 NAMM Show. Building on the legacy of its iconic HD 25 DJ headphones, which have been used by the world's leading music producers and DJs for 25 years, the new HD6 Mix, HD7 DJ and HD8 DJ are designed for the most demanding users and punishing professional environments.

Developed in conjunction with some of the world's top DJs including Bob Sinclar, Luciano, Andy Baxter, Missill and Davina, the three new DJ headphones deliver excellent sound reproduction with the highest levels of external noise attenuation. The durable materials, exceptional build quality and unrivalled product support make these new professional headphones from Sennheiser the perfect choice for mixers and DJs at any level.

The entire range utilizes a proprietary acoustic system designed to address the needs of many different performance and production applications." 

The HD8 DJ is designed for professional DJs and features outstanding sound reproduction, while the HD7 DJ provides an engaging, dynamic sound that is especially suited for live performance. Both headphones deliver a mid-low end emphasis with clarity retained in the high frequencies, in addition to a 'tight' overall sound. The HD6 meanwhile, is focused primarily at studio-based music creation and delivers a balanced, accurate sound for mixing and monitoring work. “The elliptical, circumaural ear cups were specially designed to ensure a perfect fit for more users," says Posgay. "This provides excellent external noise attenuation that can cope with very high sound pressure levels, which effectively means that users can monitor at safer levels."

The DJ headphone range is features unmatched comfort and durability, whether they are being used in the studio or in live performance. The elliptical shape of the ear cups prevents pinching and is enhanced by interchangeable ear pads for comfortable listening during long periods of use. For hassle-free one-ear monitoring, both DJ models feature a brand new swivel feature with up to 210 of movement and three different wearing positions. With both coiled and straight 3m high-performance cables included that can connect to either ear cup, the headphones can adapt to suit just about any user preference. A bayonet twist lock enables a secure connection to the headphones.

The HD6 Mix ($279.95), HD7 DJ ($329.95) and HD8 DJ ($389.95) will be available at the end of this month.
