The Hit House Expands Creative Team
Los Angeles, CA, February 12, 2014—Top music production company The Hit House has expanded its creative team with two new hires. Sally House, Executive Producer at The Hit House, made the announcement. The two men work closely with House and with Scott Miller, Creative Director, of The Hit House.
Noted Music Supervisor Danny Exum has been named The Hit House’s Director, Music Supervision and Business Development. Concurrently, Dan Diaz has become an in-house Composer for The Hit House.
“We love having all of these truly talented ‘D’s’ around here now,” said Sally House. “Each of them brings a tremendous amount of creative expertise to our company. As our success grows, we have determined that bringing new and gifted team members in-house helps us deliver the best possible music, sound design, and music supervision to our broad range of clients. Danny and Dan join our very talented Hit House team.”
Exum and Diaz join the existing Hit House creative team, which is comprised of three time Emmy Award nominated Sound Designer Chad Hughes, and highly-skilled composers Bill Conn and William Hunt.
About Danny Exum:
Love that latest song you heard on the radio? Chances are, Danny Exum, the newly named Director of Music Supervision and Business Development for The Hit House, placed it. Exum has been an avid music lover since he began raiding his parent’s vinyl records as a kid. He started in the music industry as a DJ and live mix engineer at the esteemed 88.9 WERS in Boston, before relocating to Los Angeles to work for EMI's Film/TV department.
Six years of Music Supervision later, Exum has made a name for himself on some of the largest film advertising campaigns of the past decade. His projects include music for trailers promoting “The Hangover,” “The Dark Knight,” “Watchmen,” “Man Of Steel,” “Edge Of Tomorrow,” “Wreck It Ralph,” “X-Men: Days Of Future Past,” and many others while working for such noted film marketing houses as BLT & Associates, Buddha Jones, mOcean, and Wild Card.
In 2010, Exum co-launched a freelance music supervision collective named High Bias Industries.
About Dan Diaz:
Noted Composer and Producer Dan Diaz quickly and effectively built a name for himself as an exciting new talent in the world of composing for media. Based in Los Angeles, his music and sound design have been featured in trailers for some of the biggest, and most critically acclaimed, blockbuster movies and video games of our time.
His projects include providing music for trailers promoting "Iron Man 3," "The Avengers," "Captain Phillips," "Nebraska," "Her," "The Wolverine," "The Conjuring," "Deadpool," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," and "Call of Duty: Ghosts,” among others.
