Galeksy, Visible Worship Sign With Madison Line Records
Madison Line Records has announced its latest round of signings, welcoming to its roster a pop praise and worship band and a Memphis-born hip-hop artist.
The five members of Visible Worship are students at Visible Music College. Now in its second incarnation, Visible Worship is building a foundation at Memphis' Visible Music College, with new talented student musicians joining its ranks each year with a shared mission: making incredible music and spreading an incredible message.
Lance Cook, Kyle Holder, Andrew Smith, Josh Kottke and Jordan Hays make up the 2014 edition of the band, which will release an EP of original music on Madison Line Records before hitting the road on a tour of the U.S. this summer.
Galeksy is the moniker of 15-year-old artist Ricky Floyd, whose story is just beginning. He describes his music as urban, space-age yet soulful.
"I feel that my music is for the underdogs," he said after signing his contract Friday. "My music is for the people who everyone doubted. My music is for Memphis. Everybody looks down on Memphis, but Memphis is the greatest - we have Al Green, Isaac Hayes, you name it. Memphis is a real underdog city, and my music is for underdogs."
"I am so thrilled about our new partnerships with Visible Worship & Galeksy," says Antonio Neal, COO of Madison Line. "I enjoy working with artists that are genuine good people who strive to write and record world class music. I am looking forward to the world hearing their music this spring."
