PATRIZIA Rocks The Throne & Conquers The Virgin Mobile Mod Club Yet Again: 04.04.14!
With an epic 4-octave dramatic coloratura soprano voice as her weapon of choice and an army of eclectic artists and performers at her side, PATRIZIA continues to challenge popular expectations of what rock should be and what opera is, proving that it remains a vibrant, powerful and vital art form! Flanked by seasoned rock n' rollers, PATRIZIA delivers classic arias and modern anthems alike with fury, fire and rebellion. Decked out in avant-garde creations from local designers, PATRIZIA strives to engage her audience as much optically as she does sonically. This time, she's teaming up with Rainbow Pictures to curate a magnetic visual backdrop for her performance, using 7 projectors to splash stunning imagery across the walls of the Mod Club. Back by popular demand is breathtaking aerialist Katelyn McCulloch of No Parachute Theatre, who will descend into the crowd on her silks for a stunning visual accompaniment to PATRIZIA's war on the expected.
Adding their own spices to the sensual feast on the menu for Rock The Throne are The Collide Project, an ambient, Persian-influenced sextet, and DJ Sanga Genesis, another genre-blending, boundary-defying artist whose focus is music-before-classification.
A SOCAN award-winner with a handful of Bravo! videos to her name, PATRIZIA’s releases The Edge of Emotion (produced by Paul Milner) and My Beloved (produced by Steve Thompson of Guns n’ Roses and Metallica fame) have garnered her critical acclaim from the popular and classical worlds alike. Her last release, I Am Patrizia, featuring a cover of Queen’s epic “Show Must Go On” won the praise of Dr. Brian May himself and includes two tracks produced by the late Kenny MacLean of Platinum Blonde. Having explored the classical crossover world, Patrizia is bringing together a show borne purely of her own artistic vision and passions.
"... the most unparelled music I have ever heard in my life. It is haunting, passionate and filled with stimulating evocative sounds that will thrill the very blood within your veins." – Linear Reflections
