Eleven Seven Music Group Announces Appointment Of Rose Slanic As General Manager, North America

Bookmark and Share

The Eleven Seven Music Group is proud to announce the promotion of Rose Slanic to General Manager of Eleven Seven Music Group North America operating out of the label's offices in New York City. She adds this to her previous role as VP of Label Operations in Canada, which she did out of offices in Toronto.

Slanic, known for breaking many artists in her Canadian homebase, has moved to New York to help CEO, Allen Kovac, continue to grow Eleven Seven Music as a leading independent label. "Having managed a major territory like Canada, with responsibilities for radio, publicity, new media, marketing and digital at Roadrunner, Rose brings to Eleven Seven credibility with most of the world's managers, agents, publishers, and executives in the rock music industry," says Kovac.
Prior to her coming to Eleven Seven in 2011, she was GM of Roadrunner Records Canada for 7 years. Slanic is excited for the future of ESMG "I met Allen Kovac a few years ago in Canada and was drawn to his positive attitude and drive to build and expand his business, especially while others struggled in this crazy industry. Allen continues to develop new artists, while building his roster with great rock and alternative bands, some of which I have worked with in the past. We have a great enthusiastic team here at Eleven Seven Music and I look forward to working with everyone on a fantastic and exciting 2014 release schedule!"

The Eleven Seven Music Group is a full service physical, digital and mobile music group operating with global sales, distribution and marketing capabilities via offices in London, New York, Los Angeles as well as Canada, Germany, Benelux, France, Italy, Spain, Nordic countries, Japan, and Australia. The label group continues to build on its model of research-based marketing strategies targeted directly to the fans, building out from that base. Driven by a core group of thought leaders, the independent mini-major has in-house marketing, promotion, publicity, digital media, International, sales, tour marketing, production, video promotion, creative services, web design, advertising, development and other services to support every release.

Eleven Seven Music, the cornerstone of the Eleven Seven Music Group, has been named Rock Label of the Year by both FMQB (2008) and Billboard (2010) as well as Mediabase's #1 Independent Rock label. Since its inception in January 2006, Eleven Seven Music has become a leader in rock, taking hold on a good portion of the rock charts with top releases including the #1 rock album from Motley Crüe, the Top 10 debut of Sixx:A.M.'s sophomore effort This Is Going Hurt, Buckcherry's Platinum and Grammy-nominated 15 and Drowning Pool's self titled #5 Independent disc. The label dominated the iTunes 2008 and 2009 Critics and Sales Charts appearing at the top of most of the rock categories. Even more recently, Eleven Seven Music has been responsible for the Top 5 rock album by Papa Roach (The Connection), and the #1 iTunes rock album by Escape the Fate (Ungrateful). As part of the label's innovative tactics, 2013 saw the first branded Eleven Seven Music tour, supported by partners Facebook, YouTube, iTunes, and Pandora.

Five Seven Music is the alternative/indie label in The Eleven Seven Music Group. Five Seven Music launched in 2009 with JET's Shaka Rock and has rapidly grown since then. The label takes a long-term approach to artist development, working on touring, syncs, and social media to create fan bases for its artists. The label is now home to Dirty Heads, Shiny Toy Guns, Midi Matilda, Oh No Fiasco, and the breakout band of 2013, Nico Vega. Nico Vega's track "Beast" was placed in a hotly desired sync: all of the trailers and commercials for 2013's most highly anticipated video game of the year BioShock Infinite, and consequently is nearing 100k units sold. Dirty Heads "Lay Me Down" was recently included in Billboard's All-Time Top Alternative Songs beating out songs by legends The Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure and Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as new mainstays Kings of Leon, The White Stripes and Imagine Dragons.
