BandPage, LyricFind Join Forces To Turn 5 Billion Lyric Searches Into Revenue For Musicians

BandPage, the platform more than 500,000 musicians use as a central online profile to reach, engage and monetize millions of fans, has teamed up with LyricFind, the leading provider of licensed lyrics to sites serving more than 5 billion lyric displays per year (including SongMeanings, Lyrics.com, LyricsMode, LyricsFreak, Sing365, Lyrics007, and more), to place musicians' tour dates and direct-to-fan stores next to the lyrics fans search for online. For the first time ever, musicians will be able to target fans with appropriate artist-related commerce in contextually relevant moments across these sites. This new partnership will increase ticket and store sales for musicians by introducing these commercial offers to fans at a moment when they are deeply engaged with the musician.

"Music fans search for lyrics on Google more than anything else in the music space and fans that search for lyrics usually represent an individual that is a super-fan of the artist they searched for," said J Sider, CEO and founder, BandPage. "Given that these lyric sites attract massive amounts of these highly qualified super fans, we should see higher conversion rates through these stores and for these tour dates than the typical ways of reaching and monetizing fans. All of this leads to higher engagement and revenue for musicians, which continues to be our main goal at BandPage."

LyricFind partner-site SongMeanings will be the first website to implement this integration, allowing artists to sell tickets as well as products through their BandPage Store to millions of highly targeted fans each month. SongMeanings is a site where music fans connect over songs, lyrics and artists that they love and serves up over 30 million song searches each month. "We're really excited to partner with LyricFind and BandPage to give our users this great user experience and to help musicians generate more revenue," said Michael Schiano, SongMeanings Co-Founder. "We see this as another opportunity for our users to go out into the world, enjoy the music and bands they love, and bring those experiences back to our great community."
