After Six Successful Record Releases Philadelphia’s Own Dynamic Indie-Progressive Rock Band “Time Relapse” Releases New Album “The Extraction”
[Philadelphia, PA] After their sixth very successful album release “The Machine” The long awaited seventh album from Philadelphia’s own “Time Relapse” will finally drop on March 18th of this year. The CD titled “The Extraction” is jam-packed with 22 songs all featuring the remarkable talents of Time Relapse.
The duo, consisting of 2 independently thinking songwriters-musicians Lee Fishman and Anthony Procopio, has proven in the past to woo the crowds with their own blend of “Outside the Box” music. Expanding musical boundaries at every turn, the bands unique styling and opulent songs are not for the faint of heart.
Lee and Anthony began playing music together at Penn State University in early 2011 and, after being pushed by friends and co-workers to pursue their musical interests, they began playing out and honing their sound. In order to record their self-titled debut album, they rented a house in North-Eastern Pennsylvania and spent nine months fervently writing, recording, and producing.
The band’s style varies with influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Dave Matthews Band, Incubus, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Dispatch, to Umphrey’s Mcgee. One of the unique elements of this diversified duo is that they place an equal emphasis on every instrument, allowing each one to hold its own throughout their entire catalogue. Never keeping within musical borders, each song presents different ideas, influences, and playing styles.
The new album “The Extraction” even further pushes the envelope with changing instrumentation throughout the record on many of the songs. Both artists play multiple instruments and the combination of skills gives each song a different sound; at times offering the outward impression of varying genres. The CD was recorded in Philadelphia and Shamokin PA and is 100% self-produced and engineered.
Time Relapse is no stranger to the live stage, performing regionally to their loyal fan base. Their show is energy driven and dynamic and never fails to keep the attention of their audience. The band’s most exciting tour opportunity to date has come in the form of an opening slot for Tim Reynolds (of the Dave Matthews Band) and his band TR3 in November 2012.
Currently Lee and Anthony reside in the Philadelphia suburbs and are pushing their skills to the limit in order to put out thought-provoking, exciting music that instantly catches peoples’ attention and leaves a lasting impression. This is all clearly evidenced in this new CD release.
The band will feature songs from the new album at their CD release party on Friday March 21st at Trevorton VFW located at 261 E Shamokin Street in Trevorton, PA. Doors open at 8:00pm. Ticket price is $5.00.
“The Extraction” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and other digital music distribution portals on the 18th of March. To keep up to date and follow the career of this amazing act you can visit their official website at www.timerelapse.com.
