'Pirates Of The Airwaves: The WSOU Story' Sets To Wrap Up, As IndieGogo Campaign Gains Headway With Strong Support

Longo

Director, Rob Longo is seeking a last round of support as his first full-feature documentary is set to chronicle the storied history of Seton Hall University's heavy metal-oriented college radio station.

Pirates of the Airwaves asks the question, "What does Heavy Metal, college basketball, a Catholic University, Polka and 65 Years of award winning radio broadcasting have in common?" A director's first full-feature documentary film provides the answer in an engaging and informative underdog story.

The production company, 2121 Productions is seeking crowdfunding backers for the final part of filming and production. The goal for the Indiegogo campaign is set at $20,000, with close to $3,000 raised so far since launching on March 5th, 2014. The campaign is set to end on April 4th, 11:59pm PT time, and the campaign will receive all funds even if the initial goal is not reached. Contributing prices start at just $5 and go up to $1,000 with varied perk items including a DVD, posters, premiere invites, and even production credits.

Company and director of 2121 Productions LLC, Rob Longo has both created and featured himself in the campaign's YouTube explainer video seen here: http://youtu.be/FcrBzc9GcaA The explainer video stresses the importance of support in this documentary, as well as comments by members of hardcore music brands from My Chemical Romance and Slayer.

Longo's plans to premiere the documentary are already finalized with 'Pirates of the Airwaves' showing at the Garden State Film Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey on April 6th. The film will be shown in its entirety at the Resorts Superstar Theater promptly at 2:45 PM.
