The Ready Set Signs To Razor & Tie

Bookmark and Share

The Ready Set has signed to Razor & Tie for a worldwide multi-album deal that will see the release of a new studio album - The Bad & The Better on May 27th. The album can be pre-ordered now in various bundles here at thereadyset.merchnow.com and on iTunes HERE ( http://georiot.co/ReadySet). The album was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick (Neon Trees, Breathe Carolina, The Plain White T's, Young The Giant).

Jordan Witzigreuter of The Ready Set comments, "I'm so excited to be signed to Razor & Tie. I feel like it's a great opportunity to get more of my music out there in really creative ways, and I've already seen a ton of passion. I think it's going to be a great partnership."

Razor & Tie Co-Owner Cliff Chenfeld adds, "We are very excited that Jordan and The Ready Set have chosen to work with Razor & Tie. Jordan is an amazing talent and we will do everything we can do to get his music to the largest possible audience."

The Ready Set joins Razor & Tie at an exciting time in the label's history as it's roster has grown to include The Pretty Reckless and All That Remains, who have the top two active rock songs in the country. The label recently announced the formation of a new imprint Washington Square, which features such acts as The Hold Steady, Augustana, the UK rock band Deaf Havana and the New York based Jon Batiste and Stay Human as well as indie rockers Born Cages.

Jordan Witzigreuter was only 20 years old when nearly overnight, the young Indiana-born musician-who had spent the better part of his teens writing an arsenal of illegally catchy, electro-pop songs-was plucked from near obscurity and thrust into the spotlight. "I started playing shows to a couple people in someone's basement," Witzigreuter remembers. "Then, a year and a half later, I was playing radio festivals with Maroon 5 to 10,000 people." Five years have passed since the release of TRS's debut album, I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, which hit No. 3 on Billboard's Heatseakers chart, thanks to the platinum-selling success of the LP's first single, "Love Like Woe. In 2011 TRS released their sophomore album Feel Good Now and the hit song "Young Forever." Jordan has since been writing and even penned a song to Taylor Swift "For The Better" that went viral with over 500,000 views. The band has toured with The Wanted, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cher Loyd, Breathe Carolina, We The Kings, Allstar Weekend, Boys Like Girls, and more.

The Ready Set is managed by David Conway and Dirk Hemsathat Working Group Management and booked by Mike Marquis at Paradigm Agency.
