OpenAura Opens Platform To Content Owners

SAN FRANCISCO, California— April 16, 2014 — OpenAura, the platform that aggregates and syndicates authentic artist identity content, is now open to professional content owners worldwide. Starting today at openaura.com, content owners can contribute images and other content to an artists' Digital Aura and tap into a new distribution channel and revenue stream.

The first content owners to join the platform include: The Associated Press, Beggars Group (4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade and XL Recordings), Exclaim!, FILTER Magazine, Getty Images, !K7, The Orchard, PictureGroup, Pitchfork Media, and Sony Music Entertainment.

Professional content owners and creators can visit openaura.com and apply to become a content partner, at no cost to them. Once approved, they can submit content to any artist via the platform’s upload and management tools, making that content available for artists to curate into their Digital Aura. Artists are also now able to upload their own exclusive content through the platform's free tools. This high quality collection of premium, social and artist-owned content is made accessible to apps and services through the recently launched OpenAura API. 50% of the revenue earned from the service is shared with the content owners and artists who partner with the platform.
